We have a privately owned application gateway that is robust and scalable. The gateway is designed to interface to all transaction switching and processing centres. It equally has built-in interfaces to different POS terminal brands enabling the network to accept transactions from multiple POS terminal makes. The gateway has nationwide visibility, processing transaction from different parts of the country. In nutshell, the gateway is designed with the philosophy of: ANY CARD, ANY TRANSACTION; ONE PAYMENT NETWORK solution for customer convenience, with other value added solutions like loyalty, lottery, bill payment, ticketing (for mass event), prepaid airtime, etc PIN e-voucher (scratchless) distribution technology solution. |

The gateway has multiple communication modules accepting transaction from different communication channels, i.e. GPRS, TCP/IP, Dial-up , Wi -Fi, Radio, etc. Apart from processing financial transactions messages, it also processes other transaction message type like electronic vouchers. Currently, we are deploying on both dialup and GPRS. Our GPR solution takes two SIM cards from different networks simultaneously, one serving as primary channel while the second is use for backup. Message is sent via any that has stronger signal thereby to guaranteeing almost 100% uptime for transactions.
We are currently exploring Wi-Fi as an additional communication channel to drive our nationwide aggressive terminal deployment at optimal cost and reliability. |
